2. Non-Independent Suspension System 1. Independent of Suspension System The suspension system is separate for each wheel of the vehicle. It allow one wheel to move up and down and other wheel has no effect, because each wheel is attached to its own suspension unit. There are many types of independent suspension systems. It is very popular type of suspension system used in passenger cars. 2. Non Independent Suspension In non-independent suspension system both right and left wheels are attached to the same solid axle. The defect of this system is that when one tire bits a bump in the road, it rises. Its upward movement causes a slight upward tilt of the other wheel. Hence wheels cannot move up and down independently.
