Height Gauge

Height Gauge Points : Height Gauge, Definition Height gauge is a measure tool use also for determining the height of rather, or for repetitious marking of items to be worked on. The former type of height gauge is frequently use in doctor’s surgeries to find the height of people. Vernier height gauge may be used in metal working to mark items for machining at a specific height. Height gauge is much similar to a dial or digital caliper mount on a flat, heavy base and by a carbide scriber tip in place of one of the jaws. It is always used on a surface plate which serves as a flat baseline for the measurements. The dial head and attach scriber can be slid up and down along the scale and then protected in place. A fine-adjusting thumb-wheel is then use to create the final setting and the head locked in located by a second locking screw.
