Difference between Vapor Compression and Absorption System | ||
---|---|---|
1. | Small systems are compact and large systems are large. | Small systems are large and great systems are compact. |
2. | Liquid at the exit of evaporator might damage compressor. | Existence of liquid at evaporator exit is not a serious difficulty. |
3. | Performance (COP with capacity) extremely responsive to evaporator temperatures. | Performance not extremely sensitive to evaporator temperatures. |
4. | Performance is susceptible to evaporator superheat. | Evaporator superheat is not important. |
5. | System COP decrease considerably at part loads. | COP does not decrease extensively by load. |
6. | High noise and vibration. | Take away noise and vibration. |
7. | Usual maintenance required. | Extremely low maintenance required. |
8. | Various moving parts. | Not many moving parts. |
