Dial Gauge

Dial Gauges Points : Dial Gauges, Definition Dial gauges is also known as dial test indicators, and is use for check flatness of surfaces parallelism of bars and rods and also use for testing machine tools and be able to also use for measurement of linear dimensions of jobs which need simple readability with sensible precision. Dial has two pointer arms which are actuate through a rack with pinion arrangement which acts as a mechanical amplifier. The rack is cut in a spindle. Spindle is prepared to come in contact by the work piece. Linear displacement is changed into rotary movement of the pointers. Dial is divided into 100 equal divisions, every division represents a spindle movement of 0.01mm. For 1 mm movement the better arm turns during one complete revolution. Smaller arm registers the number of complete turns made by the bigger arm.
