Compare Performance the Some of Regenerative Cycles

Compare Performance the Some of Regenerative Cycles Points : Compare Performance the Some of Regenerative Cycles, Performance of Evaporative Cooling and Regenerative Cycles This cycles enhance the gas turbine performance primarily by cooling the compressor inlet air which reduced the load and that’s why it will reduced the amount of fuel needed to heat be air to combustion chamber temperature is near up to 25% this is what the main performance characteristic of this cycle, as compare to the other cycle. Performance of Intercooled Regenerative Cycle This neat exchanger is designed to cool the air and reduce the amount of work required in the high pressure section of the compressor increasing both power output and efficiency. The intercooled can be a direct contact (evaporative) or an extended surface-type heat exchanger. This makes the cycles more simple than the other regenerative cycles. Performance of Reheat Cycle The reheat cycle is more efficient but it is more complex than the standard gas turbine cycle. Because it is necessary to imply a reheat combustor and the high pressure turbine is required to lower the temperature of the hot gases centering the reheat combustor that is why the system is more costly than the other regenerative cycle but it is more efficient rather than other cycles. Performance of Intercooled Reheat Steam injected Cycle This cycle employs ninny components but it increases the power output and efficiency as compare to other regenerative cycle system, the system has opportunity to use it at peak load periods when power output is needed up to 35% as compare to the other periods so this is also called a heavy duty plant.
