Performance Characteristics of Regenerative Cycles Gas Turbine

Performance Characteristics of Regenerative Cycles Gas Turbine Points : Performance Characteristics of Regenerative Cycles Gas Turbine 1. Performance Characteristic of Evaporating Cooling Cycle The evaporating cooling cycle enhances gas turbine performance primarily by cooing the compressor inlet air and reduces the lot of amount of work and increase the system efficiency. 2. Performance Characteristic of Intercooled Cycle The performance of intercooled cycle is define as because the compression of cool air require less amount of work than compression of warm air so after seeing this intercooled cycle is design very smartly in practically a heat exchanger is placed in the air path between low and high pressure of compressor, The heat exchanger design to cool the air and reduced the amount of week and increase both power and output efficiency. 3. Performance Characteristic of Steam Injected Cycle The steam injected cycle system is very cleaver design system in which large volumes of steam are injected in to combustor and turbine sec. of a gas turbine to improve power and improve efficiency. 4. Performance Characteristic of Reheat Cycle This cycle is more complex than standard gas turbine cycle, The reheat cycle is more efficient. In general it is necessary to increase fuel/air ratio to increase specific power. Metallurgy technology limits the turbine inlet temp. The two stage combustor allows more fuel to be injected without exceeding this temp. Limit. This increase the exhaust temperature and makes the reheat combustion turbine more suitable fir combined cycle.
