A good shock absorber should stop body movement in two or three rebounds. A lead shock absorber will let the body bounce over three limes.

Also inspect the shock absorbers for signs of leakage and damage. If a shock is leaking, replace it with a new one. Check the rubber bushing on each end of shock absorber. They should not be smashed or split. Make sure that the shock absorber fasteners are tight.
