Fuel Supply System for Spark Ignition Engine Points : Fuel Supply System for Spark Ignition Engine, Gravity feed system, Force feed system In spark ignition engine, petrol as of the fuel tank is to be feed to carburettor with two methods:
(i) Gravity feed system
(ii) Force feed system (i) Gravity feed system In gravity feed system fuel tank is located over the level of carburettor fuel flow as of the tank will be due to gravity. (ii) Force feed system In force feed system fuel lank is located at a space and under the level of carburetor to pump the fuel as of low level tank to carburettor at an high level fuel feed pump is use.
