Low Pressure Casting

Low-Pressure Casting Points : Low-Pressure Casting Process In slush casting and basic permanent mold casting process, pour of metal into mold cavity is down to gravity. In low-pressure casting, liquid metal is forced into cavity below low pressure about 0.1 MPa as of under so that flow is upward. The benefit of this approach over usual pouring is that clean molten metal as of center of ladle is introduce into mold, before metal that has been expose to air. Gas porosity and oxidation defect are thus minimized and mechanical properties are enhanced.
