Pattern and Materials used for Pattern Making

The pattern is like the original object with some dimensional allowances. For moulding castings, the foundry uses a large variety of devices and appliances which make up the casting equipment. The proportion of equipment which includes all appliances required to form an imprint in the mould of the shape of the desired casting constitutes a pattern set. Materials Used For Making Patterns The following materials are generally used for making patterns
