Difference between Swaging and Fullering

Difference between Swaging and Fullering Points : Difference between Swaging and Fullering Swaging Swages are use to extend the round rods and to finish their surfaces. Swages are prepared in two parts, every consisting of a half round portion. The minor part, which has a tapered shank, is fixed into the hardier hole of the anvil. The upper part, which is a wooden or rod handle, is placed above the lower part. The work piece, in the form of a round rod is placed between them. Hammering is ready on the upper part, by which the length of the rod increases and become of the same diameter as that of the swage. Fullers are use to augment the length, to create recess and to end the work piece.
Fullering Fullers are prepared in pair, the lower fuller and the upper fuller. The work piece is located among the edges of the fuller. The work with a fuller is through in the same way as that, with a swage.
