1. Give precise (accurate) control of wheel direction.
2. Maintain correct amount of effort needed to turn the front wheels.
3. Transmits road feel to the drivers’ hands. Road feel is slight full of steering wheel caused by road surface.
4. As the tires hit bumps and holes in road, a shock is produced which is absorbed by this system.
5. This system allows suspension action.
