Types of an Ignition System Points : Types of an Ignition System There is two type of ignition systems use in petrol engines:
1. Battery ignition system (or coil ignition system)
2. Magneto ignition system
Equally ignition systems are support on the standard of joint electromagnetic induction. The battery ignition system is generally use in passenger cars and trucks. In battery ignition system, current in primary winding is supplied through the battery, while in magneto ignition system, magneto generate and supplies the current in the main winding.
