Engine Lubrication System

Engine Lubrication System Points : Engine Lubrication System, Dry sump system, Pressure System, Splash System, Petrol System, Semi-pressure system The different systems for lubricating the automobile engine are as follows:
1. Dry sump System
2. Pressure System
3. Splash System
4. Petrol System
5. Semi-pressure System
1. Dry sump System This system in which lubricating oil is store inside oil sump is call wet sump system similar to the pressure system. Other than the system in which the lubricating oil is not reserved in the oil sump is identified as dry um system. In this system, the oil is approved in a split tank from where it is fed to the engine. The oil which falls into the oil sump following lubrication is sent back to the oil tank by a split release pump. So, the system consists of two pumps, one to feed oil with the further to deliver it back to the oil tank. This system is use in condition where the vehicle has to modify its position endlessly, similar to in aircrafts. The major advantage of this system is that here is no possibility of break down the oil supply through up and down association of the vehicle. 2. Pressure System Pressure system of lubrication engine element is lubricated below pressure feed. The lubricating oil is store in a divide tank or the Lump, as of where an oil pump gets the oil during a strainer and delivers it during a filter to the central oil portico. The oil as of the most important gallery goes to the main bearings, from where several of it after lubricating the main bearings, falls back to the sump, a few is splashed to oil the cylinder walls and the residual goes through a hole to the crankpin. From the crank pin it goes to the piton pin during a hole in the connecting rod web, where it oils the piston rings. 3. Splash System Splash system of lubrication, lubricating oil is accumulating in an oil drain or sump. A scoop or dipper is prepared in the lowest part of the between rod. Whilst the engine runs the dipper dips in the oil one time in each revolution of the crankshaft and causes the oil to splash on the cylinder wails. This stroke affects the lubrication of the engine walls, piston ring, crankshaft bearings and big end bearing. Splash system generally workings in connection with pressure system in an engine, a few parts creature lubricated in splash system and the additional through heaviness method. 4. Petrol System Petrol system of lubrication is usually adopted in two stroke petrol engines similar to scooters and motorcycles. It is the simplest outline of lubricating system. It does not consist of any part part, like oil pump, for the function of lubrication. But the lubricating oil is diverse into the petrol itself as filling in the petrol tank of the vehicle, in a particular fraction. While the fuel goes into the crank chamber through the engine process, oil element goes deep into bearing surface and lubricates them. The piston rings, cylinder walls, piston pin, and so on. Condition engine is permitted to stay idle for a extensive time, the lubricating oil separate off from petrol and leads to congestion of route in the carburetor, ensuing in the engine starting problem it is the most important weakness of this system. 5. Semi-pressure System It is the mixture of splash system and pressure system. Various parts are lubricated through splash system and several parts by pressure system. Nearly all the four-stroke engines are lubricated by this system.
