Difference between Thermoplastic and Thermosetting Plastic
Thermoplastic
Thermosetting Plastic
1.Objects prepared through thermoplastic resins can not be use at relatively higher temperature as they will tend to soften below heat.Objects prepared with thermosetting resins can be use at moderately higher temperature with no damage
2.They are frequently supplied as grainy materialThey are generally supplied in monomeric or partly polymerized material type in which they are also liquids or partly thermoplastic solids.
3.They can be frequently soften through heat and hardened with cooling. One time hardened and set, they do not soften by application of heat.
4.They are relatively softer and fewer strong. They are stronger and harder than thermoplastic resins.
5.Use. Photographic films, insulating tapes, toys, combs, toilet goods, hoses, electric insulation, and so on.Use. Electric plugs, radio and T.V. cabinets, telephone receivers, camera bodies, automobile parts, circuit breaker switch panels, tapes, hoses, and so on.
