Hydraulic Booster Service Points : Hydraulic Booster Service A hydraulic type brake booster should be checked when inspecting a brake system. Check all hydraulic lines for any signs of the leakage. Tighten connections or replace any line that leaks. If the booster is inoperative, check the fluid level in the power steering pump. A low fluid level can prevent hydraulic-boost operation. When the hydraulic booster is found to be faulty, it should he replaced. Most types of the boosters are not repairable. Refer to shop manual when testing or servicing a hydraulic brake booster.
