Lagged up Pattern

Lagged up Pattern Points : Lagged up Pattern, Metal Casting, Foundry, Moulding Cylindrical patterns, instance, pipes, barrels or columns are built up through lag or stave creation to make sure proper shape. Longitudinal strips of wood, call lags or staves are beveled on every side and glued to wooded pieces call “heads”. Such a structure gives maximum quantity of strength and permits building close to finished outline of pattern so that there is moderately little overload stock to be removed to bring it to required shape.
