Working of Reaction Turbine Points : Working of Reaction Turbine Initial, water goes into the guide blades, which guide water to go in the moving blades. In moving blades, element of pressure energy is changed into kinetic energy, which reason revolving of runner. Water exit the moving blades is at low down pressure. Hence there is pressure dissimilarity among the entry and exit of moving blades. This dissimilarity in pressure is call reaction. Pressure act on moving blades with cause the revolving of wheel in opposite direction.
