- Very last number division on bar to the left of vernier scale signify the number of millimeters multiply by 10.
- Note down how various full graduations are show among this number division and zero on the vernier scale. Multiply this number with 1mm.
- Find line on vernier scales which match with a line on bar. Multiply this figure by 0.02mm.
