Static Electricity

Static Electricity Points : Static Electricity Electrostatics is, as we know, is the particular branch of science which, deals with the phenomena associated with electricity at rest. In fact in a normal atom the aggregate of positive charge on protons is exactly equal to the aggregate of negative charge on the electrons. However, in case, some negatively charged electrons are removed from the atoms of a body in that case it is left with a preponderance of positive charge and then it is known to be positively charged. Again if some electrons are added to the atom of a body negative charge out-balances the positive charge and then in that case the body is becomes negatively charged. And deficiency or excess of electrons in a body is its charge.
