Draft Allowance

Draft Allowance Points : Draft or Taper Allowance Draft means the taper provided by the pattern maker on all vertical surfaces of the pattern so that it can be removed from the sand without tearing away the sides of the mould and without excessive rapping by the moulder. Draft is thus given to provide light clearance for the pattern as it is lifted up.
