Charging and Discharging of Capacitor

Charging and Discharging of Capacitor Points : Charging and Discharging of Capacitor Whenever a capacitor is charged it stores electrical energy in the shape of static charge and delivers if it is connected to the circuit for discharge. The electrical energy is stored in the capacitor and an electric field is set up in the dielectric medium.
Let there be a capacitor of C farad, which is connected across a potential difference of V volt. During charging work is done for shifting the electrons from positive plate to negative plate via battery. Let at any particular stage the charge being ‘q’ coulomb and voltage being ‘V’ volt.
