Back Fire Points : Back Fire and Causes Occasionally while a being is weld the torch flame go out, and there is a loud snapping or popping noise at the tip. This is backfiring usually the torch will relight if it is accidentally bring near the hot metal. If a backfire occurs shut off the torch valve right away and check the points listed. Causes of Back Fire
  1. Be the tip overheated. Have it been held too lock to the metal. After checking, cool the tip in water by the oxygen blowing during the tip.
  2. Have the tip been allowable to touch the metal. This is most common reason with beginners?
  3. be near a piece of hot metal blocking the tip orifice.
  4. Is the tip loose.
