Truing Plane

Truing Plane Points : Trying or Truing Plane, Definition Truing Plane is used after the jack plane to create the work piece of correct size and of smooth surfaces. It is just like a jack plane but having the handle of closed type. Its length is 50 to 70 cm and width of the blade 5.6 to 6 cm. Due to its larger length the surface is planed very smoothly. Its cutting edge is straight and sharp by which tine planning can be complete.
