Acid refractories-Silica, Alumina
Basic refractories—Magnesite, Dolomite, Chrome-Magnesite
Neutral refractoreis — Carbon block.

Acid refractories are not attacked by acid stags, while basic refractories are not attacked by basic slags. Neutral refractories don’t combine chemically either by acid or basic slags. Refractoriness It is the property of a material to withstand the action of heat without makeable deformation or softening. Bulk Density of a Refractory Bulk density is the ratio of a material to its total volume including pores.
