Steel
Points : Steel, Definition Definition Pure iron is not strong enough to be used for tools, machines, or structural shapes, but with a small amount of carbon added to it, it becomes extremely tough. When small amounts of carbon are added, the iron is known as carbon steel.
If other elements are added to the carbon steel, the resultant material is called alloy steel.
