Working Principle of Steam Power Plants
Points : Working Principle of Steam Power Plants
Steam power plant is too identified as Thermal power plant. Steam power plants
change the chemical power of fossil fuels (gas, coal, oil,) into electrical /
mechanical energy. This is complete by raise the steam in boilers, increasing
it through the turbines by coupling the turbines to generators which change
mechanical energy into electrical energy.
Following two function can be served with a steam power plant:
- To generate steam for industrial purposes moreover produce electric power. Steam might be use for unreliable purposes in industries for example textiles, paper mills, food manufacture, sugar mills and refineries.
- To generate electric power.
