Types of Current Points : Types of Current, Direct Current, Alternating Current There are following two types of current

2. Alternating current 1. Direct Current A current which does not change its direction in the circuit with time, is called ‘Direct current’. It is denoted by DC. 2. Alternating Current A current which alternates or reverse its direction several times per second is called an “Alternating current”. It is denoted by AC.
