2. Parallel combination 1. Series Combination Resistors are said to be connected in series when they are connected end to end consecutively so that there is only one path for the flow of current and the same current flows through each resistor. 2. Parallel combination Resistors are said to be connected in parallel when each of them is connected between the two common points. The same potential difference acts across each of the resistor but the total current is divided among the resistors connected in parallel accordingly.
