Tailstock A Tailstock is a casted piece of cast iron and be able to be clamped by the bed at the necessary distance as of the headstock It has a barrel and a hand wheel and the barrel is hollow and tapered inside to receive the taper shank of the center. The center fid in the tailstock ropes the stock at finish. 4. Tool Rest Tool Rest is made of machined cast iron. It provides hold for the tool rest. 5. Chip Tray A Chip tray is prepared of sheet steel and is use to stay the chips removed through turning and place the working tools use at some stage in the turning process. 6. Head Stock Spindle Head Stock Spindle is main drive unit of the headstock and is threaded at together ends to screw the face plates. Face end is hollow and is use to fit the taper shank center. 7. Leg Steel Cabinet This is sheet steel cabinet which contains take mechanism. It supports the additional parts of the lathe machine.
