Project report is like the practical note book. Actual all the steps involved in the
preparation of the project should be the written form. It is like a complete book, which
is written under different headings. A comprehensive project report consists of the
following main headings.
1. Title or Front page
Title or front page should be attractive, beautiful. It consists of the Project's name
mime of the group, session, name of the project in-charge, and the name of the
institute.
2. Sub title
This page consists of the names of all the students of the group with their roll numbers
and if possible gives the brief educational history of each student.
3. Preface
In this part, of the report give the importance on project making and selected project
Important, points in project making and style of writing this report may be included.
This part should not be more than a page or two.
4. Contents
While writing project report it should be .divided in some main topics or chapters and
the name of these main topics .or chapters should be mentioned in the contents.
Contents consist of serial number or chapter number, name of the topic of chapter,
and page number. This part should be made or prepared after the completion of the
report in other word it is made in the last.
5. Introduction
In this part of the report the importance, use's, advantages, quality, etc. of the project
is given.
6. Drawings
After giving the Introduction give the assembly drawing of the project. Drawing should
be made clearly showing all the parts of the project. Indicate all the parts in balloons
with numbers.
7. Material List
Material list of all the parts is given with the assembly drawing. This material list
consists of the kind of material along with the size. Sometimes a material list of each
part may be given separately.
8. Procedure of Making each Part
Each part is divided into operations performed on it, and if possible make the job and
operation sheet with the consultation of the teacher in-charge. Before writing the
procedure give the name of the machine, equipment, instruments used for that part or
operation. In the last give the safety rules involved during that operation. In that part
of the report part drawing should be given and also give the brief function of the
prepared part.
9. Process Chart
While making any part a process chart should be made for that part. In process chart
show all the necessary steps (From drawing hail to inspection. with the help of
symbols/therebligs) which are used to make that part.
10. Estimated Cost
Cost estimating is not so easy task; breaking down manufacturing costs into many
groups can never be completely systematized. New situations bring new problems
which emphasize different costs.
11. Difficulties Faced in the preparation of Project
In the end identify difficulties and other problems that you have faced during the
completion of that project. Also give suggestions to solve or minimize these problems.
Note:
After the completion of rough draft read it carefully and then compose it and
prepare three copies, if possible bind them and submit it along with the project to the
teacher in-charge.
