1.	Economiser	It is located at passage of flow of flue gases as of the boiler to chimney.	It suitably extracts waste heat of chimney gases to preheat water before it is fed into boiler.
2.	Super-heater	It is placed in path of flue gases flowing to chimney.	It use waste heat in flue gases flowing to chimney to change wet steam into superheated steam.
3.	Air-preheater	It is located after economizer and before gas go into the chimney.	At air-preheater, air supplied to combustion chamber is preheated through by the heat in waste flue gases.
