Right Hand Thread
Thread, while view axially winds in a clockwise and receding way is call right hand
thread. It advances into engagement in a direction away from the observer when
turned in a clockwise direction. The clockwise, rotary motion of a nut screws it on a
bolt. Threads are for all time assumed as right hand unless otherwise precise.
Left Hand Thread
Thread while view axially, winds in an anticlockwise and receding way is call left hand
thread. It advances into engagement in a direction away from the observer when
turned in an anticlockwise direction. A clockwise turning round of a nut screws it off a
bolt. All left hand threads are chosen “LH”.
