place that will create a chip of the right size. Stay your eyes on the cutting border of
the chisel. Sway the hammer over the shoulder with a simple arm movement. You
really chuck the hammer on the chisel. Beat the head of the chisel directly with a good,
snappy blow and reset the chisel after each blow for the next cut. Cut a little at a time.
This spirit lengthens the life of the cutting edge, the chisel will be less liable to break,
and extra metal will be cut in the extended.
