Hydraulic Turbines Points : Hydraulic Turbines Hydraulic turbine is a prime mover that uses energy of flow water and changes it into mechanical energy (in the shape of rotation of runner). This mechanical energy is use to run an electric generator which is directly attached to shaft of hydraulic turbine. Thus mechanical energy will be changed into electrical power. Hydraulic turbines are also call as water turbines as the fluid medium used in them is water.
