Semi-permanent mold is casting process make Aluminum alloy castings by re-usable metal molds and sand
cores to shape internal passage in casting. Molds are usually arranged in two halves - sand cores being
locate into place before two halves are located jointly. Molten metal flows into mold cavity and
surrounds sand core as filling mold cavity. While the casting is detached as of the mold sand core is
removed as of the casting leaving an inside passage in casting. Re-usable metal molds are use time and
again, but sand cores must be replaced every time product is cast, thus the term semi-permanent molding.
Semi-permanent moldings afford an extremely high accuracy quality to casting at a reduced price compare
to sand casting processes.
