Segmental Patterns

Segmental Patterns Points : Segmental Patterns, Metal Casting, Foundry, Moulding Segmental patterns are use for prepare moulds of big round castings avoid use of a solid pattern of exact size. In principle they work similar to a sweep, but dissimilarity is that a sweep is given a continuous revolving motion to make preferred shape, while a segmental pattern is portion of solid pattern itself and the mould is ready in parts with it. It is mounting on a central pivot and after prepares part mould in one place; segment is motivated to next position. The process is repeat till the whole mould is ready.
